A minor in economics consists of at least 15 credit hours with no more than 9 credit hours duplicated with major requirements. A minimum of 9 credit hours must be in coursework pursued in residency at Oglethorpe. To satisfy the requirements of a minor, a student must complete all minor courses with a grade of "C-" or better.

For a minor in Economics a student must take:

UCECO 2821 Survey of Microeconomics
UCECO 2822 Survey of Macroeconomics

In addition, three of the following upper level course would be required:

UCECO 2823 Survey of United States Economic History
UCECO 3825 History of Economic Thought
UCECO 4920 Economics of Development
UCECO 4921 Money and Banking
UCECO 4922 Elements of Labor Economics
UCECO 4923 Elements of International Economics
UCECO 4925 Government Economics
