AICPA Scholarships for Minority Accounting Students

Eligibility:

  • Accounting major with an overall and accounting GPA of at least 3.3
  • A minority student who has satisfactorily completed at least 30 semester hours in accounting, and enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student unless completing final semester.

Accountemps/AICPA Scholarship

Eligibility: -Declared accounting, finance or information systems major

  • Overall and major GPA of at least 3.0
  • Completed at least 30 semester hours including at least 6 in accounting
  • Enrolled as a full time student
  • School is AICPA student affiliate member.

Award: $2,500

Eligibility:

  • Liberal arts degree holders who wish to pursue a CPA certificate
  • Contingent upon acceptance in a graduate accounting program.

Association of Government Accountants Atlanta Chapter Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • Half-time/full-time in Atlanta or surrounding areas
  • Pursuing bachelor’s or higher degree in accounting, public administration, etc.
  • Be recommended by MBA Director, Department Head, Associate Dean, OR Dean for Business Administration. MUST be recommended.
  • Resident of Georgia, interested in government accounting, public administration

Minorities in Government Finance Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • Full or part-time upper-division undergraduate or graduate student in public administration, (governmental) accounting, finance, political science, economics or business administration (with a specific focus on government or nonprofit management)
  • Belong to one of the following groups (as defined by the U.S. Census Bureau): Black, Indian, Eskimo or Aleut, Asian or Pacific Islander, Hispanic
  • Citizen or permanent resident of US or Canada
  • Student has not been a past winner of a scholarship administered by the Government Finance Officers Association

Award: $5,000
