his master’s degree from Oglethorpe in 1936.
The David N. and Lutie P. Landers Revolving Loan Fund
provides short-term loans for needy and deserving students. The fund
was established by a bequest from the estates of Mr. and Mrs.
Landers of Atlanta.
The Steve Najjar Student Loan Fund provides short-term loans
and financial assistance to deserving Oglethorpe students. The fund
was established in memory of Mr. Najjar, who, with his aunt “Miss
Sadie” Mansour, operated the Five Paces Inn, a family business in
the Buckhead section of Atlanta. The Five Paces Inn was a popular
establishment for Oglethorpe students for many years. A number of
Oglethorpe alumni, especially students in the late 1950s and early
1960s, established this fund in Mr. Najjar’s memory.
