Admission to the undergraduate division of the University may be
gained by presenting evidence of successful completion of secondary
school work in the form of results from the College Entrance
Examination Board's Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) or the results
from the American College Testing Program Assessment (ACT); and, by
submitting a letter of recommendation.
Arrangements to take the SAT or ACT may be made through a secondary
school guidance counselor or by writing directly to one of the
testing agencies. For SAT write to College Board, Box 592,
Princeton, New Jersey 08540, or Box 1025, Berkeley, California
90701. For ACT write to American College Testing Program, P.O. Box
451, Iowa City, Iowa 52240. It is to the applicant's advantage to
take one of the tests in the junior year of high school.

the results to Oglethorpe automatically:
Applicants should normally have or be in the process of completing a
secondary school program including appropriate courses in English,
social studies, mathematics, and science. While an admission
decision is typically based on a partial secondary school
transcript, a final transcript must be sent to the Admission Office
by the candidate's school, showing evidence of academic work
completed and official graduation.
The Oglethorpe application contains a recommendation form and a list
of other materials, which must be submitted by the applicant. No
application will be considered and acted upon until the items
indicated have been received.
