President

  "The President shall (1) Preside at all meetings. In the absence of the President, the First Vice-President of Service shall preside over Chapter (this hierarchy shall continue down the offices through Recording Secretary). (2) The President shall be a member of all committees by organizing and presiding over meetings of the Executive Council. (3) Be responsible for keeping the campus informed of service projects, events, and activities. (4) Maintaining correspondence with the National Office of Alpha Phi Omega. (5) The President shall not vote in Chapter unless there is a tie, upon which the President's vote shall be the deciding vote. Under no circumstances shall the President state a personal opinion while holding the chair. If the President wishes to state a personal opinion, the chair shall be given up to the First Vice-President of Service. (6) The President shall also delegate any other duties to members of the Executive Council as necessary, but such duties must be within the parameters of their office. In the event of a dispute, the Executive Council shall decide by a simple majority. Vice President of Service

    "The First Vice-President of Service (1) Shall organize and coordinate an effective program of service. (2) Shall organize and pass at least 40 hours of service each semester and shall attempt to maintain ongoing service projects. (3) Shall give a report each meeting pertaining to all service projects on hand. (4) Shall keep a record of those in attendance at service projects; this record shall be available to the Brothers at Chapter meetings. Vice President of Membership

    "The Second Vice-President of Membership (1) Shall be responsible for coordinating any seminars, educational meetings, or other activities that may enhance or strengthen the Membership of the Chapter. (2) Shall be the chairman of any social function for the purpose of keeping the Fellowship strong. (3) Shall be the chairman of any social function and at their discretion shall arrange for the procurement of any and all entertainment, food and beverage. (4) Shall plan at least three fellowship activities for the Chapter, not including those occurring as part of the Rush Program. The Treasurer can pay the cost up to 20% or $50.00 (whichever is less) over the approximated cost without consulting the Chapter. (5) Shall work with the Pledgemaster in organizing an effective Rush Program and Big Brother/Little Brother Revelation. Pledgemaster

    "The Pledgemaster (1) Is responsible for all duties outlined under Pledgeship of the Chapter Bylaws. (2) Shall also work with the Second Vice-President of Membership to organize the Rush Program and the Big Brother/Little Brother party. (3) The Pledgemaster must obtain the Chapter's approval by a simple majority of the Pledge Class fund-raisers and service projects, before they can be carried out. (4) After each Development meeting, the Pledgemaster shall pass each pledge for Chapter approval. (5) Shall cooperate with the President for all communication with the national office concerning the pledges and new brothers of his or her term's Pledge Class. Treasurer

    "The Treasurer (1) Shall organize and coordinate all fund-raising activities. (2) Shall receive all moneys of the Chapter and maintain precise, orderly written records of all financial transactions in standard ledgers and journals. (3) Shall issue a standard receipt of all moneys received from the Pledges and Brothers. (4) Shall deposit all moneys in the Chapter bank account within ten business days of receipt. (5) By the second Chapter meeting the Treasurer shall propose an operating budget, which must be approved by a 2/3 majority. (6) The Treasurer shall refer to Article X and XIX of the Standard Chapter Articles of Association regarding proper transmittal of fees to the National Office. (7) Must complete all applicable tax forms and submit all books, records and transactions to the Executive Council by the last Executive Council meeting at the end of his or her term, to be audited. (8) Must sign all checks. In the absence of the Treasurer, either the President or the First Vice-President of Service may sign checks. (9) There shall be at least three fund-raisers each semester, and the Treasurer shall keep a record of those in attendance at the fund-raisers.     "The Parliamentarian (1) Shall be responsible for maintaining order in Chapter, counting votes, and acting as Sergeant as Arms. In the absence of the Parliamentarian, the presiding officer shall count votes. (2) Shall review the Bylaws each semester in accordance with the Standard Chapter Articles of Association and the National Convention Amendments. Recording Secretary

    "The Recording Secretary (1) Shall keep and maintain a file of the minutes of all Chapter meetings and Executive Council meetings. Minutes of Chapter Meetings shall be distributed to all brothers and Advisors before the next Chapter Meeting. (2) Shall publish a Chapter Directory with name, address, phone number, and any other pertinent information of all Active Brothers. (3) Shall keep records of those in attendance at meeting and shall notify any Brother when that Brother has only one allowable absence remaining. (4) At least three weeks before election, the Recording Secretary with the Executive Council, shall inform in writing all Active and Associate Brothers who are in danger of not meeting Membership requirements as to the requirements that they lack, with a copy being kept by the Executive Council for a full calendar year. Inter Chapter Liaison

    "The Inter-Chapter Liaison (1) Shall carry out necessary correspondence within the Fraternity. This shall include any official business with the National Office, Regional or Section Chairs, alumni, and any other chapters. (2) Shall be responsible for notifying the National Office, Regional and Sectional Chairs, and the Dean of Community Life of Oglethorpe University of the Chapters new officers. (3) Shall be the chief representative at all Atlanta Area Chapter (AAC) meetings and aid the organization of Fraternity conferences. (4) Shall work with the First Vice-President of Service and the Second Vice-President of Membership in organizing service projects and socials between chapters. Historian

    "The Historian (1) Shall keep the history of the Chapter and of the fraternity and shall maintain a scrapbook that records the semester's activities. The book must be completed and turned in to the Chapter by the last organized activity during the term in which the Historian holds this position. (2) Shall be responsible for maintaining the family tree and ensuring that the pledges' names are posted appropriately.
