Talmage Meeting Room
As the hub of campus life, the
Emerson Student Center houses a lounge, television area, a game room, the
student post office, the student association office, the newspaper and yearbook offices,
the dining hall, and several large meeting rooms. Administratively, one can find the
offices of the Dean of Students, the Director of
Residence Life, the Office of Student Activities, and
the Director of Musical Activities. Emerson is also home to the Student
Health Center, Career Services, Experiential Education, Counseling Center and the Center for Civic Engagement. The student center is named in honor of
William A. and Jane S. Emerson, benefactors of the University. This facility is expected to be replaced by a modern, new campus center slated to break ground in the spring of 2012.
