OU students had the following observations about recent OUSA
trips:
- England
"All the lectures and guides were very knowledgeable in their
fields, and they were incredibly interesting and on point. I
didn’t know what to expect to learn, however I did learn new
things and feel that, having had such a hands-on experience, the
information will really stay with me. I had a blast and I
thought all of the activities were carefully planned and very
enlightening."
- Greece
"Actually visiting and seeing everything from books and slides
brought all the myths and the ancient world to life. There’s
really no better way to learn about a place than to visit it and
immerse yourself in the history of it. My trip to Greece was
to say the least something special... Being engulfed in a
different culture … learning but learning in a tangible way it
feels as if one is soaking in the knowledge. The abroad trip was
amazing and it’s something I will never forget I’m just lucky that
Oglethorpe allowed me to participate in such a wonderful
experience."
- Italy
"I loved Florence! I felt like I was walking through a museum
everyday."
- France
"By traveling with fellow students, you were able to share
experiences and not feel isolated in a foreign culture. I learned
a lot about French history that really put art in perspective. "
