Whether you are seeking to enhance your current career, or searching for a complete career change, our Financial Planner Program provides the knowledge and specific skills that will contribute to your future in financial planning.
Once students have successfully completed our program, they will have satisfied the educational program requirement to be eligible to sit for the CFP® Certification Examination. The exam is administered by the CFP Board three times a year in March, July and November
Program Tuition and Payment Options
Option 1 - Pay Tuition in full: $4,800 plus $100 registration fee (Total of $5,900)
Alumni & Early enrollment Tuition: $4,600 (Registration fee waived, contact Program Manager for eligibility details)
Option 2 - Pay Per Course: $800 for seven courses plus $100 registration fee

GI Bill benefits for eligible members and spouses of the U.S. Armed Forces.
Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Please visit the WIA website for details on where to find an office and contact in your area.
Student Loans
Prospective students seeking a Student Loan to cover the cost of tuition will need to find an appropriate Private Education Loan APPROVED for use with Certificate Programs (e.g. Sallie Mae).
Oglethorpe University's Financial Planner Program is a Non-Credit Certificate Program, thusly is ineligible for traditional financial aid (e.g. Pell Grant, Stafford Loan, and the Hope Grant). Additionally, Oglethorpe University does not issue form 1098-T to students.

These marks are awarded to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board's initial and ongoing certification requirements. Oglethorpe University does not certify individuals to use the CFP®, Certified Financial Planner™ and certification marks.
