Allied Health Studies

- Allied Health Studies is the preferred choice
for anyone wishing to enter an Allied Health Studies Program in
their post-undergraduate studies.
Biology - The curriculum in biology
provides a foundation in both classical and contemporary biological
concepts and prepares the student for continuing intellectual growth
and professional development in the life sciences.
Biopsychology (interdisciplinary)
- By its nature, the field of biopsychology (which is synonymous
with neuroscience) is an interdisciplinary field of study that
encompasses biology, chemistry, and psychology.
Chemistry - The chemistry
program covers four general areas of chemistry: inorganic, organic,
physical, and analytical.
Engineering - Dual Degree
- In this combined plan, the two degrees which are awarded upon
the successful completion of the program are the degree of Bachelor
of Arts by Oglethorpe University and the degree of Bachelor of
Science in Engineering by the engineering school.
Environmental Studies - Dual Degree - This program provides
a unique combination of liberal and professional education well
suited for those desiring to enter the fields of environmental
studies or natural resources.
General Science - These
courses are designed to allow science-oriented students to gain a
broadly-based science background for use with a variety of
associated occupations.
Physics - The physics
curriculum is designed to provide well-rounded preparation in
classical and modern physics.
Pre-Medical Studies -
Preparation for careers in medicine and other health professions
continues to be one of Oglethorpe University's most popular and
successful areas.
