Class Agents and Decade Chairs
Throughout Oglethorpe's history, students on campus have
benefited from the financial support of alumni who graduated before
them. Although you probably did not realize it, the experience you
had as a student at Oglethorpe was supported, in part, by donations.
Your participation, and the participation of each one of your
classmates, is essential to the success of the Oglethorpe Fund.
For the upcoming year we will be recruiting alumni volunteers to
help with the Oglethorpe Fund effort. Volunteers are needed to help
contact classmates and encourage participation in the Oglethorpe
Fund.
Specific responsibilities include sending a letter to classmates
in the fall and spring, participating in alumni phonathons and
contacting classmates via phone or email to update them on current
happenings at Oglethorpe.
We need volunteers from all classes, but especially from the
eighties, nineties and two-thousands. Volunteers do not have to live
in the Atlanta area to help. Most, if not all, duties can be
coordinated by phone and email with the Annual Giving Office. If you
are interested in volunteering, please contact the Annual Fund office at 404.364.8476.

Alumni Phonathons
Alumni phonathons take place in Atlanta in the Fall and Spring.
The phonathons allow alumni to contact fellow classmates on behalf
of the Oglethorpe Fund. Food and drinks are provided. The phonathons
take place from 6-9 PM. Phonathon dates are announced in advance via
email. You do not have to be a class agent to participate. All
alumni are welcome! Please contact the Annual Fund office at 404.364.8476 if you are interested in helping.
Host Committee for out-of town events
Many events for alumni and friends are planned for this year. If
you would like to help plan the events, offer a venue in your city,
or just be involved, please contact Elizabeth Cone, Alumni Relations Manager at 404.364.8893 or
email alumni@oglethorpe.edu.
