Stafford Loan Entrance Counseling
It is a federal government requirement that students complete a
student loan entrance counseling session prior to obtaining a
Federal Stafford student loan. To complete your entrance counseling
requirement, visit our home page on the Mapping Your Future web site
or click on Online Student Loan Counseling icon at the bottom of
this page.
Online Student Loan Counseling is a service offered by Mapping Your
Future. Created with the help of students and financial aid
professionals, Online Student Loan Counseling enables students to
complete the counseling requirement anytime, anywhere. The purpose
of the session is to help you understand your rights and obligations
as a student loan borrower. This student loan counseling session
will prepare you for proper management of your student loan, helping
you make the most of your higher education. True/false questions are
given throughout the counseling session, and you must provide
correct answers before being allowed to proceed. Upon completion of
the student loan counseling session, you must complete an online
form. This form is then sent to the school via e-mail, notifying the
financial aid office that you have met the loan counseling
requirement.

Federal Stafford Loan Exit Counseling is now available. Go to the
MYF site at
http://mapping-your-future.org/exitcounseling, choose "Georgia"
in the pull down menu and then "Oglethorpe" from the pull down menu
on the following page. Once completed, a confirmation form will be
emailed to us. If additional forms are needed for your file, we will
mail those to you.
