Can I connect a landline telephone in a dorm room? (Students)
Oglethorpe does not provide phone service to individual dorm rooms on campus. The University does provide phones to RAs as well as a community courtesy phone located in the hallways of each floor of each dorm.
We recommend students use cellular phones within the dormitories. More specifically, we have tested cellular service providers AT&T and Verizon and found both to provide complete coverage on campus. While other providers may function, IT Services cannot guarantee service.
