Congratulations on your acceptance to Oglethorpe University! Please complete the following steps as soon as possible and no later than May 1 (if you are enrolling in the fall) or Jan. 1 (if you are enrolling in the spring).

  • Scholarship Response Form
If you have received a merit scholarship award from Oglethorpe, this is how to accept or decline that offer. Accepting your scholarship does not commit you to enrolling at Oglethorpe, but it is an indication of your interest. We understand that you may be waiting for a full financial aid package before making a final enrollment decision
  • Enrollment Response Form
This is how to notify us officially of your intent to enroll (or not to enroll) at Oglethorpe University. All entering students must submit a USD $300 enrollment deposit to secure a place in the class. This enrollment deposit is refundable until May 1 (fall) or Jan. 1 (spring) provided that you request the refund in writing.
  • Housing Application Form
All entering students who will live on campus must complete this form. This is where to indicate your residence hall preference, answer roommate matching questions, or request a particular roommate. Although you may complete the housing form before completing your enrollment form, you will not be confirmed or assigned to a residence hall room until you have submitted your $300 deposit.
  • Immunization and Medical History Form
All entering students must submit the required health history documents, which are due 3 weeks prior to the beginning of classes for your start term. You will need to schedule an appointment with a health care provider in order to complete these materials.
  • Disability Services
New students with a disability who require accommodation should notify Disability Services in the Academic Success Center as soon as possible after submitting the enrollment deposit, and at least two weeks before OU Passport, new student orientation, the first day of classes, or any on-campus program. Use the link above, call (404) 364-8869, or email disabilityservices@oglethorpe.edu to discuss the requested accommodation.

  • First Year Seminars
If you are a first-time freshman who has never been to college, you will enroll in a First Year Seminar (FYS-101) during your first semester. If you are a transfer or exchange student, you will enroll in a special OGL-101seminar with other transfer or exchange students.
  • Placement Tests
Certain courses at Oglethorpe require placement test results before you are eligible to enroll. Find out how to complete the web-based language placement tests, which are required for virtually all students. Check to see if your intended major requires math placement, and find out about opportunities to take this proctored, on-campus test.
  • OU Passport
Oglethorpe will offer three summer academic registration days in 2013: Friday, June 7; Friday, June 28; or Friday, July 19 (choose one). This is when entering students meet an academic advisor, register for fall courses, learn more about the business office, meet other new Petrels, and more.

  • Intensive Math Option (IMO)
During the summer, Oglethorpe offers an opportunity for entering students to jumpstart their college mathematics sequencing. Intensive, accelerated sessions of MAT-120 and MAT-130 are available to incoming students. Find out more and register online.
