Hello! My name is Liz DiResta, and I work as the Admission Assistant here at Oglethorpe. I joined the OU admission office in January of 2012. Some of my responsibilities here include processing prospective student information, evening applications, and our Master of Arts in Teaching applications. I graduated from Queens University of Charlotte with a B.A. in Psychology. During my time at Queens, I was a member of Chi Omega Sorority, Young Life, and the Ambassadors Program. I also worked as a telecounselor in the Queens Admissions department and communicated with prospective students via phone. Although I am not an Oglethorpe alum, I’m thrilled to be part of the OU family.
When I am not helping students through the admissions process at Oglethorpe, I also enjoy reading a good Nicholas Sparks book, playing with my dog Millie, and traveling.
Favorite spot on campus: The library, which has such unique atmosphere and history.
Favorite OU trivia: I was amazed to learn that two elephants were buried under the library!
Favorite Atlanta spots: Tthe Coca-Cola Museum and the Fox Theatre.
Favorite author: Nicholas Sparks.
Most interesting place I've been: South Africa, where I spent three weeks exploring parts of Capetown, Johannesburg, and going on a safari in Krugar National Park. |
