Assistant to the VP for Enrollment and Financial Aid
Hello! My name is Megan Fanoe, and I am the Assistant to the VP for Enrollment and Financial Aid. I am a proud alumna of Saint Mary’s College, where I received my Bachelor’s degree in 2008. After college, I lived in Manhattan before recently settling in Atlanta.
Although I did not attend Oglethorpe, I truly appreciate the experience of the Core Curriculum followed by all students. The interdisciplinary approach speaks to my own favorite classes from college. In particular, I had a tandem English Literature and Religious Studies class focused on “Mischief Makers in World Religions.” For me, blurring the lines between subjects gave me the freedom to find my own voice and opinion. The experience inspired me to double-major in Psychology and Religious Studies. I look forward to participating in Oglethorpe’s vibrant campus life and being inspired all over again.
Favorite spot on campus: The Turner Lynch Campus Center.
Favorite OU trivia: Oglethorpe’s motto is Nescit Cedere, which translates to, "He does not know how to give up."
Favorite Atlanta spot: The Georgia Aquarium.
Favorite Novel: The Passage by Justin Cronin.
Most interesting place I've been: Mont-St-Michel, France – During a high school study abroad experience, I visited this peninsula (and its monastery) that becomes an island when the tide comes in.
