Since graduating with a History major in 1997, Hope LeBeau has
traveled around the world, visiting such diverse places as India,
Australia, Canada, Cyprus, Japan, United Kingdom, Poland, Czech
Republic, the UK and various other places in western Europe. In the
course of her travels, Hope has run 5 marathons for the Leukemia
society of America - in Alaska, Hawaii, Tennessee, Paris and
Toronto.
Hope received her Masters degree in Terrorism from the
University of St. Andrews in Scotland last year. While at St.
Andrews, Hope was organizer of the 2001 Terrorism Conference in
Scotland, and was a terrorism analyst for the Centre for the Study
of Terrorism and Political Violence. She wrote here her dissertation
on the connectivity between emerging liberal democracy and terrorism
in Burma. After returning to the states, she worked at CNN and was
considered the in-house terrorism expert after 9/11.
She's also been fortunate to meet several key leaders,
including former President Clinton and F.W. deClerke, former Premier
of South Africa; she gave a presentation to the former Prime
Minister of Sweden, Carl Bild, on terrorist financing.
Now residing in metro-Atlanta, Hope recently launched
TayBridge Compliance,
an anti-money laundering company specifically targeting money
laundering relating to international terrorism.
