Dialogue on the Death Penalty - Attorney Registration

The Stormy Petrel Bar Association (SPBA) and the Oglethorpe Alumni Office invite you and your colleagues to a Continuing Education Seminar and Luncheon on Friday, November 17, 2006, at Oglethorpe University entitled "Dialogue on the Death Penalty." 

This conference has been approved by the Georgia Bar Association for 3 hours of CLE credit in ethics.

Conference Schedule

 
CLE credits can only be awarded for attending the following sessions:

• Plenary Session: Historical and Legal Perspectives on the Death Penalty
  Participants: Dr.’s Phil Neujahr, John Orme, and Brad Stone
  1:10 – 2:00 p.m.
   
• Panel One: Moratorium in Georgia?
  Participants: Jack Martin, criminal defense attorney; Danny Craig, District Attorney for Columbia County
  1:10 – 2:00 p.m.
   
• Panel Three: Seeking Justice
  Panelists: Laura Moye, Deputy Director of the Southern Regional Office, Amnesty International; William Montross, Jr., attorney, Southern Center for Human Rights; a former death row inmate; a former jury member.
  2:10 – 3:00 p.m.

Registration Cost

$50 for Oglethorpe alumni seeking CLE credits.  $60 for non-alumni lawyers seeking CLE credits.  Fee includes lunch, all conference sessions, certificate of attendance, proper documentation submitted to the Georgia Bar Association for CLE credit, and a wine and cheese reception.

Registration deadline is November 10, 2006.  Payment may be made online or by mail.
