Two Rooms
by Lee Blessing
Directed by Aaron Bean
Timely and compelling, Lee Blessing’s masterful Two Rooms
surveys the complicated and emotional relationship between the
United States and the Middle East. In one room is Michael Wells,
held captive by unidentified terrorists. Across the Atlantic in
another room is Michael’s wife Lainie, wrestling with her faith in
an America that may or may not care about her endangered husband.
As Michael races to make peace with his inner ghosts and Lainie
fights for her husband’s rescue, their spirits reach out to one
another in a quest to understand the nature or war, faith, mistrust,
and love.
