by Sasha McCurdy

April 10, 11 and 12 at 8:00 p.m.
April 13 at 3:00 p.m.
Conant Performing Arts Center
Two student directors take a hand at two original plays performed in repertory:
WASP, by comedian/playwright Steve Martin, begins as a normal family dinner but quickly digresses into a search for meaning and conflict over mango jello. Despite their individual weirdness, we can identify with each family member as they try to make their family work.
A Fiction, in a premiere production, is about a young woman's attempt to live a life that is as frighteningly unreal as it is real. Follow Lauralai through her painfully honest and often comedic world in which drugs, unexpected friends, and abusive lizards are a part of the norm that she struggles to stabilize. Mature content.
Tickets: $5 general admission, both shows included, free to the OU community with ID. For information call 404-504-1074.
4.48 Psychosis
by Sarah Kane
Directed by Jhana Grant '08
May 2, 3 at 8:00 p.m.
Conant Performing Arts Center
In a highly visual, movement-oriented piece with an original soundscape, Sarah Kane’s 4.48 Psychosis is poetry on stage. The structure of the play describes the mind of a young woman which is at once discovering deep, eternal truths and unraveling. She says, "I had a night in which everything was revealed to me. How can I speak again?" Mature Content.
Tickets: $5 general admission, free to the OU community with ID. For information call 404-504-1074.
