In addition to classroom instruction, OU students learn from professionals at Georgia Shakespeare, an Equity acting company in residence and one of only two Georgia members of the prestigious League of Regional Theatres. Internships (required of every theatre major) sharpen students' skills in acting, directing, stage management, house and box office management and more. All of these opportunities are available through Georgia Shakespeare, as well as other professional companies around Atlanta. On-campus workshops bring together students and professionals to discuss topics such as "How to Make a Life in Theatre in Atlanta," ""How to Get Started as an Actor in Theatre," "Stage Combat," and more.
