The Chi Kappa Cast is Oglethorpe's chapter of Alpha Psi Omega,
the National Honorary Dramatics Fraternity (Co-Educational).
Students who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to the
Playmakers in any of a number of capacities, and who hold
distinguished academic records, are invited to join during their
sophomore or junior years. Selection is based not only on
achievement, but also on collaborative spirit, maturity, and
artistic dedication. Alpha Psi Omega mounts one production per year
as part of the annual Playmakers season.
These productions are usually more challenging in scope or style
than the traditional Playmakers repertoire, and offer gifted
students the opportunity to work in intensive ensemble settings. In
past years productions have included works such as Tina Howe's
Museum, Christopher Durang's Durang Durang, and The
Autumn Project, an original full-length performance art piece.
