Dear Visiting Athletic Trainer:
On behalf of Oglethorpe University, I would like to
welcome you and your team to Atlanta, GA. We are excited to be
hosting you and your team, and would like to make your stay here
enjoyable.
The Athletic Training Room is located in the Steve Schmidt
Recreation Center, which is connected to the Dorough Fieldhouse, and
adjacent to the Baseball Field. A certified athletic trainer will
be present at all traditional season competitions, and will be
available in the athletic training room two hours prior to the
competition. Supplies and equipment that will be provided to you
include: ice, water, cups, towels, hydroculator, ultrasound,
electrical stimulation machine, crutches and first aid supplies.
If your team is not traveling with an athletic trainer, please
send any taping supplies that may be needed. Also, please include a
written notification of treatment that you would like to have
performed by my staff. A physician will either be in attendance, or
on call during all competitions.
We hope that you enjoy you trip to Atlanta. If there is
anything that I can do to make your stay more enjoyable, please let
