Coach Sattele begins his 6th season at the helm of the Women’s Basketball Program at Oglethorpe University. After three consecutive 20-win seasons and three straight invitations to the NCAA National Tournament, last season was the most successful in the history of Stormy Petrel basketball finishing with a 27-4 record and earning a fourth consecutive bid to the NCAA National Tournament. The Stormy Petrels made it to the Sweet 16 before losing to eventual tournament winner George Fox and finished the season ranked 9th in the nation out of 434 NCAA D-III schools. Following the season, Coach Sattele was named the WBCA Regional Coach of the Year, the D3hoops.com South Region Coach-of-the-Year and the Georgia Basketball Coach-of-the-Year for all teams and divisions. Currently, Coach Sattele holds an all-time winning percentage of .714, which is good for 33rd place among all Division III coaches with five years or more of coaching experience.
Prior to taking the head coaching position at Oglethorpe, Coach Sattele was an assistant coach at Oglethorpe for two seasons.
Sattele came to Oglethorpe from St. Pius X High School in Atlanta, Ga. While head coach at St. Pius X for three years, the school accumulated two sub-region and one region championship, one sweet sixteen and one final eight appearance in the AAAA state tournament.
"Dedication, hard work with a touch of fun,” says Sattele is his philosophy towards whatever he does. Coach Sattele is a graduate of Villanova University and has been married forever (just kidding, 44 years) to Gerry Sattele and has four married children and 10 grandchildren. Hobbies include auto racing and ocean sailing.

Assistant Coach Fallon Rehmert

Coach Rehmert begins her second year as an Assistant Coach at Oglethorpe University. Rehmert comes to Oglethorpe after serving as the assistant coach during the 2007-2008 season at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY. While at Vassar, she was responsible for recruiting, playing and opposing team scouting, film exchange and individual player development. Rehmert brings a strong sense of Division III basketball along with a true emphasis on guard and shooting fundamentals.
In addition to her coaching experience from Vassar College, Rehmert worked as a graduate assistantship at Maryville University in St. Louis where she helped coach the team she formerly played for to its 4th straight NCAA appearance and break the national record of 72 consecutive conference wins in a row. As a player for the Saints,
Rehmert helped lead the program to three consecutive NCAA bids and was named First Team All-SLIAC Conference Tournament in her senior campaign. Rehmert's successes on the court were contagious in her approach to academics. She was named to the Al- Conference Academic team four straight years and in addition was named a National Collegiate Scholar.
Rehmert is a 2006 Magna Cum Laude graduate from Maryville University where she received her B.S. in Business Administration.
Assistant Coach Elizabeth "Biz" Richmann

Elizabeth “Biz” Richmann graduated from Oglethorpe University with a B.S. in mathematics in 2009 and the recipient of the Oglethorpe Cup for her many achievements. She is presently attending Georgia State University to obtain her Masters in Secondary Education. Biz is a graduate of Central Gwinnett High School in Lawrenceville, Ga. She was a 4 year starter for the Petrels and is in the top ten in school history in six categories. She is the career leader in blocks and second in rebounds and field goal percentage. The 4 years she was there, the Stormy Petrels won 96 games, played in 3 SCAC tournament finals, had 4 NCAA bids including a berth in the Sweet 16 and one in the Final Four. During her senior year she was a captain on the SCAC championship team, named SCAC honorable mention and a member of the SCAC All-Sportmanship team. She finished her career with 1056 points and 680 rebounds.
