Men’s Team 5^th Nationally in Freshmen Class Impact for the Fall

The Stormy Petrel’s men had significant contributions from freshmen Joseph Lyda and Josh Kinsey. The Golfstat freshmen impact rankings place Oglethorpe fifth nationally with an average score of 76.16 for the two players. The two freshmen played in all four tournaments for the Petrels, and made a huge impact. A third freshmen, Jonathan Visconti finished eighth in the Atlanta Christian Wolf Creek Invitational and 38th of 90 players in the Greensboro College Invitational playing as an individual.

Oglethorpe trails only Whitworth, California, who leads the nation in Freshmen Impact, Franklin and Marshall (PA), Letourneau (TX), and St. John’s (MN) through the fall season.
