The Oglethorpe Univeristy men's golf team finished in second place at the Camp Lejeune Invitational in Jacksonville, North Carolina that concluded Sunday evening. The No. 4 Petrels were bested by only 5 strokes by the No. 2 Methodist Monarchs.
Colin Chapman tied for first place individually and then defeated Methodist's Tom Cooper in a two hole playoff to become only the second golfer in Oglethorpe history to earn medalist honors at Camp Lejeune. Joe Green took home those same honors in the 2007 event. Chapman posted a three-day total of 208 to win the event.

Olafur Lofstsson claimed a tied for third place finish as well for the Petrels by firing a three-day total of 210. Scott Pugh posted a total of 213 to finish in a tie for 8th place to round out the Stormy Petrels in the Top-20.
The men's team will be back in action on April 12th when they compete in the Emory Spring Invitational.
