Dale Wins Piedmont Fall Classic
Oglethorpe University junior golfer Katie Dale of Peachtree City won the the 2008 Piedmont Fall Classic played at The Creek at Hard Labor Golf Course last week. Dale shot 80-83 for a two-day total of 183 to earn medalist honors by two strokes over Allyson Burak of Methodist.
Just behind Dale in a tie for 4th place was Oglethorpe University freshman Elizabeth Lafferty from Warner Robbins who carded a two-day total of 170.
Dale, Lafferty and the rest of the Stormy Petrel golf team are back in action today and tomorrow competing in the Orchard Fall Invitational in Clarkesville, Georgia.
