The brothers of Sigma Alpha Epsilon at the Georgia Eta Chapter maintain a strong belief in service and Philanthropy. With such an opportunity to give back to the Atlanta Community many brothers participate in community service and nonprofit charity organizations.

All brothers are required a certain amount of service hours through organizations such as IMPACT. In the Fall of 2011, all active brothers participated in the organization and running of the Annual Oglethorpe University Haunted House for the Boys and Girls Club of Atlanta. They helped to manage each event and insured that every participant had a great experience.

Additionally, we also assist and support the surrounding Greek community with their own philanthropy events. Some of these annual events include Chi Omega Delta Theta Chapter’s Annual Chili Cook Off and Spaghetti Dinner benefiting The Make-A-Wish Foundation, Chi Omega Fraternity's National Philanthropy.

This Spring we plan on hosting our 2rd Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Cookout benefiting the Children's Restoration Network, a non for profit organization which offers hope and support, enabling children and their mothers to break the cycle of homelessness by empowering them to become part of mainstream society as active, productive citizens through programs and special events designed to address their academic, emotional, and physical needs.

SAE encourages all chapters to become involved in their campus and local community through various organizations. The Fraternity’s preferred philanthropy is the Children’s Miracle Network because of its great capacity to impact children’s lives and the proximity of numerous hospitals to active chapters. On April 6, 2002, the Fraternity launched its “True Gentleman Day of Service,” with more than 35 chapters participating in a community service program. This event has grown to involve hundreds of chapters. Sigma Alpha Epsilon is a national partner with National Youth Service Day.
