As a member of the Oglethorpe University community, you are a part of a diverse and multicultural campus that is committed to valuing diversity of thought, opinion, class, disability, gender expression and identity, nationality, race and ethnicity, spirituality, and sexual identity. In Oglethorpe's mission, it articultes the university's commitment to supporting the success of all students in a diverse community characterized by civility, caring, inquiry, and tolerance. One of the goals of an Oglethorpe education is for students to gain an awareness of the increasingly international character of contemporary life and skills in interacting with persons of diverse cultural backgrounds. The Office of Student Leadership and Activities provides and helps support the work of many offices and student organizations that foster greater awareness and respect for difference through programs and services.
