Networking Guidelines
The Oglethorpe University National Alumni Association aspires
to encourage an active and involved alumni network, so the
Association is happy to help students and alumni begin or continue
to develop professional networks by providing contact information
on alumni with similar career fields or majors. Please understand
that this information is provided to you for the purposes of
informational networking, and in no way indicates that a
particular alumnus/a will have a job to offer if you are seeking a
position. Also, this information is not to be used for
commercial or political solicitations.
As you contact the alumni whose names you have been given,
please be respectful and courteous of the time any of these
contacts are able to give you – it is on a voluntary basis. And
remember – you are a representation of Oglethorpe University.
In exchange for providing this information to you, the Alumni
Office requests that any new information you obtain on a contact
(a new job title, phone number, or simply the fact that someone no
longer works at the place we have listed) be given back to the
Alumni Office. It is also important that you keep the Alumni
Office informed of your professional progress and whereabouts so
that you, in turn, may become part of someone else’s professional
