Career Decision Making -
Before you embark on a career path, you have to know your
interests and skills and how they might fit in the world of
work. The following links contain assessment exercises, which
are often helpful tools but are not predictors of employment
success. Be sure to meet with a career advisor to discuss your
interests. |
Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and
the Strong Interest Inventory |
The Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)
and the Strong Interest Inventory (SII) will give you the
opportunity to gain meaningful insight into how your personality
and interests effect your academic and career choices. The
inventories can help you reaffirm the choices you have already
made or open up career possibilities that you have never
considered. |

Information - Before you decide to be, say, an astronaut,
you might want to do some research about the field. What is the
average starting salary? Is the size of this field projected to
increase or decrease in the future? Where are the jobs in this
field? |
