Welcome Employers
Hiring an Oglethorpe student for an internship or job means you will
be getting an individual who brings academic strengths rooted in a
balanced liberal arts tradition.
There are several ways you can let Oglethorpe students know about opportunities within your organization.
Internship and Job Posting
1. Complete the Career Opportunity form and email it to
careerservices@oglethorpe.edu. We will put your listing in
either job or internship binders in the Career Services office for
students and alumni to review and will post your listing on campus
bulletin boards. Listings may also be sent to faculty members
in pertinent academic areas.
2. The Career Services office also encourages companies to post job
listings on
e-Recruiting powered by Experience.
3.
Oglethorpe also accepts hard-copies of job postings
by fax 404.504.1180.
For more information, call 404.364.8337.
Internship Information
The internship program is very popular among students. The program
is an ideal way for you, the employer, to obtain assistance on
projects, preview a potential employee, tap into creative minds and
provide valuable learning opportunities for students.
Internships can be done throughout the year and are typically one or
two semesters long. Students may also choose to do an internship for
academic credit or may complete non-credit internships to gain
industry specific experience.
Not all work experiences qualify as academic internships. An internship must
include learning objectives for the student and must not be
primarily clerical in nature.

On-Campus Information Sessions
Hosting an information table on-campus is an excellent way to generate student
interest in your organization. Career Services will be happy to help
you coordinate an information table outside a heavily-traveled area or can assist you in creating a more formal
workshop.
On-Campus Interviews
Companies are invited to conduct preliminary interviews for interns
or full-time hires on Oglethorpe's campus. The Career Services
office will schedule your visit, post your job description,
collect and email resumes, and manage the interview schedule. Call Career Services to schedule an interview date
or email us a completed Recruiter Information Form.
Connections Volunteer and Career Fairs
Each fall semester the Career Services office hosts a volunteer
fair for nonprofit organizations who are in search of community-minded students looking for opportunities to make a difference. During spring semester our office hosts a
career fair for
all Oglethorpe students who are seeking more information about
career paths or employment opportunities. Participation in
both events is free to employers and organizations who are
interested in meeting interns, entry-level employees, and
volunteers.
