Except for class, illness or emergency, I must participate in all required sorority recruitment parties.

There is no minimum GPA required for freshman women to participate in sorority recruitment. For transfer and upperclassmen, Panhellenic (the governing council of sororities) requires a minimum grade point average of 2.0 for participating in recruitment. All participants must be full-time students at Oglethorpe University.

I agree that the Greek Advisor may verify my GPA from my high school and/or any college I have attended, and that this information may be released to the individual sororities, officers, and national headquarters.

I reserve the right not to join a sorority, if in the end of the sorority recruitment period that seems best to me. However, if I am offered a bid to join one of the sororities that I have listed on my preference card following the preference parties and do not accept, then I am ineligible to join any other NPC sorority at Oglethorpe University for one calendar year.

There is a sorority recruitment registration fee of $20.00, which helps defray the cost of recruitment supplies and refreshments. I am expected to pay this fee by no later than September 7, 2007. This fee is non-refundable.

By checking this box, I give permission to the Office of Greek Affairs to check my High School and/or College GPA and SAT/ACT scores (if applicable) with the Oglethorpe University Registrar’s Office. Further, I give permission for the Office of Greek Affairs to share this information with the Recruitment Directors of the four fraternities or three sororities at Oglethorpe University.
