that are close to our campus. Some of these hotels offer
special rates for Oglethorpe University guests.Transportation
If you are unfamiliar with the Atlanta area and are driving to
Commencement, detailed directions to
our campus are available.
Some of the local hotels may offer
a shuttle service that can be used to take you back and forth from
Oglethorpe University. Ask your hotel concierge or frontdesk
staff for details.
If you choose to stay in downtown Atlanta or in the Buckhead area, the Oglethorpe
campus is convenient by taxi from the Brookhaven/Oglethorpe MARTA
station. Please allow time to call a cab company from the station,
as there may not be a cab line on Saturday morning. The Checker Cab

Your graduating family member is your best resource for
recommendations, but if you prefer to find your own, or want to
arrange a special surprise, you might try browsing our list of

for some spots that our students have grown fond of.
If you prefer to browse on your own for something near Oglethorpe
University, local neighborhoods include Brookhaven, Buckhead, Chamblee/Doraville, and Dunwoody/Sandy
Springs. The nearby Perimeter Mall, Lenox Mall, and Phipps
Plaza shopping districts also boast many fine dining options.
