It
was a warm day in New Orleans. Although we had tough days and hours
at work, the great companionship and awesome food at camp kept us
going in full spirit. I must note the silent support given by
Johannah and Danielle allowing me to use their notebooks even at
times they needed them.
Contrary to the last experience where we confronted several
extremists groups at the camp, this time we met up with wonderful
people, especially from Columbia and Harvard. The friendship and
brotherhood shared by Shira, Melissa, Miles and Gina at the worksite
and at the camp cheered us a lot. We also made new friends with
students in New York, Ohio, D.C., Boston and Florida.
Working at sites and being at a camp with thousands of people
gives us a chance to make new friends and develop new connections
all around the world. I also met people from my part of the world,
notably from South India.
