Senior Aerle Jones awarded the Georgia
Executive Women's Network (GEWN) Leader of Tomorrow Scholarship
Atlanta – Oglethorpe University College Senior Aerle Jones
has been awarded Georgia Executive Women’s Network (GEWN) Leader of
Tomorrow Scholarship. The amount of $1,500 will be awarded to Aerle
at the Annual Scholarship Luncheon on Thursday, November 14 at 103
West.
Aerle is majoring in Humanities with a focus on art. She will
graduate from Oglethorpe’s University College program, a continuing
education program for adults, in May 2003. The scholarship is
awarded each year to a woman who has been in the workforce and
returned to college to finish a degree. Aerle owns Reality Writings,
Inc., a music publishing company that will move into book publishing
when it publishes Aerle’s book of poetry entitled “PoTaree; The
Jurisprudence of Life.”
Aerle is an original member of rap group Arrested Development and
won Grammies for "Best New Artist" and "Best Rap Album by a Duo or
Group."
