"Petrels of Fire" Race
Is this the year for a winner? Watch students as they race to
complete a 270-yard loop around campus before the campus chimes
strike twelve. Only a few students in Oglethorpe history have
been able to do this. |

Dorough Field House
Program (A Celebration of Oglethorpe Athletics) includes a a
skit performed by Oglethorpe students, faculty and staff and
narrated by President Larry D. Large.

Lunch will include a ceremony honoring Steve Schmidt, as well as
Oglethorpe’s championship teams.

|
Oglethorpe University is steeped in English
traditions, beginning with its founding in 1835. Oglethorpe Day
was created for the campus community to heighten awareness and
foster appreciation for the school’s history and traditions. In
recent years, it has grown to become a neighborhood community
celebration. |
