What: Oglethorpe University Singers and University Chorale to
Present Spring Concert

Who: The Oglethorpe University Singers and University Chorale,
conducted by Dr. W. Irwin Ray, Jr., director of musical activities
at Oglethorpe, and accompanied by artist-in-residence David Buice,
pianist.
Featuring: The Singers will present motets and choruses by
Johannes Brahms, W. A. Mozart, and Felix Mendelssohn; madrigals by
Paolo Bellasio, Thomas Bateson, and Thomas Morley; folk songs from
England and Canada; Johann Schein’s chorale concerto on “Christ
Lag in Todesbanden;” selections by Edwin Robertson, Lloyd Pfautsch,
Irving Berlin, and George Gershwin. Winners of the student
ensemble performance contest will also perform.
