ATLANTA - Oglethorpe University presents
Ann Wilson Cramer, IBM’s director of corporate community
relations and public affairs, in the Mack A. Rikard Lecture
Series on Tuesday, February 7, at 4:30 p.m. in the Oglethorpe
University Museum of Art.
Cramer, a Jacksonville, Florida, native, graduated from Salem
College with a degree in mathematics. She began her career as a
systems analyst at IBM, retired for 10 years then returned to
IBM in her current capacity, where she focuses on children and
youth-oriented programs. Cramer is an active member of St.
Luke’s Episcopal Church and has worked with the Georgia
Partnership for Excellence in Education. She has participated in
Leadership Atlanta, Leadership Georgia and the Regional
Leadership Institute, is a member of Outstanding Atlanta, and
chaired Leadership Atlanta's 25th Anniversary Celebration. She
has served on several non-profit boards including Carter Center,
Woodruff Arts Center, Alliance Theatre Company, Georgia
Shakespeare and the Georgia Chapter of the International Women's
Forum.
Oglethorpe’s Mack A. Rikard Lecture Series was established in
1991 to help college students understand current issues in the
business world. Rikard, a 1937 graduate of Oglethorpe, hoped to
foster an appreciation of economics in all students regardless
of career interests by bringing recognized leaders to campus.
