ATLANTA -
Oglethorpe University announces the hiring of Lucy Leusch as
Vice President for Enrollment and Financial Aid. Oglethorpe
University is Atlanta’s only highly selective coeducational
liberal arts institution. Leusch will oversee admission and
financial aid at Oglethorpe, which has experienced a record
number of applicants and students for the past three years.
“Lucy has accomplished great things wherever she has been,
but beyond her accomplishments, you will all come to know her as
a fully engaged member of the Oglethorpe Community,” said
Oglethorpe President Lawrence M. Schall. “She is a graduate of a
small liberal arts college in Indiana, Saint Mary-of-the-Woods,
where she began her career in admissions. Lucy has had a long
career in admissions and enrollment in a variety of different
institutions.”
Leusch comes to Oglethorpe from Atlanta College of Art, where
she was Vice President of Enrollment Management for over five
years. Previously, Leusch worked at Emory University, DePaul
University and Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. Leusch begins at
Oglethorpe on June 12.
Oglethorpe University, founded in 1835, is a member of the
Annapolis Group, an organization of America’s 100 most selective
liberal arts institutions, and the Southern Collegiate Athletic
Conference, a ten-member association dedicated to high academic
standards. Oglethorpe is accredited by the Southern Association
of Colleges and Schools.
