ATLANTA
- The Pulitzer Prize winning play turned critically acclaimed
opera, Streetcar Named Desire produced by Capitol City
Opera Company, will be performed September 15 through 17 in the
Conant Performing Arts Center.
Feel the passion and the steam rising from the arias in this
southern gothic tale by the master of the genre, Tennessee
Williams. This southeastern premiere is composed by André Previn.
Diane Ladd, three-time Academy Award nominee and cousin of
Tennessee Williams, will be a special guest of honor.
The principal performers are Kimberly Rosquist as Blanche;
Barton Gilleland as Stanley; Sherri Seiden as Stella; Charlie
Bradshaw as Mitch; Kimberly Rollbuhler as Eunice; Scott Mize as
Steve; and Kharis Belgrave as the flower woman.
Streetcar Named Desire runs September 15 and 16 at 8:00
p.m. and September 17 at 3:00 p.m. in the Conant Performing Arts
Center on the campus of Oglethorpe University (4484 Peachtree
Road NE, Atlanta). General admission tickets are $25, $20 for
