Pulitzer Prize-Winning Drama Presented by Oglethorpe University
ATLANTA – Oglethorpe University Playmakers present Angels in America, Part One: Millennium Approaches, “A Gay Fantasia on National Themes” on Thursday, April 12 and playing through Saturday, April 14 in the Conant Performing Arts Center at 8:00 p.m.
Tony Kushner’s Pulitzer Prize-winning drama is widely considered the most important, spectacular and entertaining American play of the late 20th century. As relevant today as at the height of the AIDS crisis, Kushner’s epic vision touches on Mormonism, Judaism, racism, homosexuality, marriage, history, politics and art. And yet the story remains profoundly human.
Directed by Deborah Merola, associate professor of theatre and director of the Oglethorpe University theatre program. General admission tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for seniors and students. Mature content. For information call 404.504.1074.
