Award-Winning Authors Speaks at Oglethorpe
ATLANTA – Critically-acclaimed author, Brian Morton will read from his latest novel, Breakable You Thursday, February 15, at the Oglethorpe University Museum of Art at 7:00 p.m.
Morton’s novel Breakable You has garnered rave reviews, as did his earlier works The Dylanist, Starting Out In the Evening and A Window Across the River, a Today Book Club selection. He has received an Academy Award in Literature, the Koret Jewish Book Award for Fiction, a Guggenheim Foundation Award and has been a finalist for the Pen Faulkner Award. Morton teaches at Sarah Lawrence College and New York University and lives in New York.
“This writer, a New Yorker without attitude…is really smart, feels deeply and is absolutely genuine,” said The Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s Don Cryer.
This event is sponsored by Oglethorpe’s Departments of English-Creative Writing Program, and Theatre and by the Oglethorpe University Museum of Art. A reception and book signing will follow the reading. This event is free and open to the public. |
