Coca-Cola Business Leader Visits Oglethorpe
ATLANTA – Oglethorpe University presents Carlton L. Curtis, vice president of industry affairs for Coca-Cola, in the Mack A. Rikard Lecture Series on Monday, October 29, at 4:30 p.m. in the Skylight Gallery of the Oglethorpe University Museum of Art.
Carlton Curtis is vice president of industry affairs for the food service and hospitality division of Coca-Cola North America. He joined The Coca-Cola Company in 1972 and has served in a variety of marketing and communications positions including vice president of corporate communications and corporate public relations. In 1994, he was appointed director of worldwide education marketing. Curtis led Coke’s relief efforts in the Gulf Coast region after Hurricane Katrina and helped safely restore food service operations and hospitality businesses.
Oglethorpe’s Mack A. Rikard Lecture Series was established in 1991 to help college students understand current issues in the business world. Rikard, a 1937 graduate of Oglethorpe, hoped to foster an appreciation of economics in all students regardless of career interests by bringing recognized leaders to campus. This lecture is free and open to the public. Call 404.364.8868 for more information.
