Free Fall Choral Concert

ATLANTA – The Oglethorpe University Singers and University Chorale will perform a fall concert Friday, November 9, at 8:00 p.m. in the Conant Performing Arts Center.

The concert will feature the music of Vivaldi, Marenzio, Lauridsen, Gawthrop, Nystedt and Alan Hovhaness. Highlights include two vocal "tangos," a clever and playful Romanian folk song, an Applachian spiritual and a grouping of selections from Johannes Brahms' Zigeunerlieder, Op. 103.

The Oglethorpe University Singers concert choir and the University Chorale chamber choir continue their tradition of choral excellence as they perform a highly varied concert of works from the Renaissance through the 21st century. The concert includes both accompanied and unaccompanied choral selections as well as small ensembles and solos by our outstanding student musicians. Conducted by Dr. W. Irwin Ray, Jr. and accompanied by artist-in-residence David Buice. Free and open to the public. For more information please contact 404.364.8429.
