ATLANTA – Oglethorpe University presents James W. Satterfield, co-founder of Firestorm Solutions, in the Mack A. Rikard Lecture Series on Monday, October 1, at 4:30 p.m. in the Skylight Gallery of the Oglethorpe University Museum of Art. Mr. Satterfield will present Luck is Not a Strategic Plan – Lessons Learned from Virginia Tech.
James W. Satterfield is the president, chief operating officer and co-founder of Firestorm Solutions, the nation’s premier business continuity planner. He has extensive experience in public and private companies in leading the identification of problems and designing solutions. He is instrumental in establishing underwriting guidelines, policy development, claims and pricing procedures and rating structures. He is currently directing disaster due diligence for public companies and helping them cope with disaster denial. He is also co-author of Disaster Ready People for a Disaster Ready America.
Oglethorpe’s Mack A. Rikard Lecture Series was established in 1991 to help college students understand current issues in the business world. Rikard, a 1937 graduate of Oglethorpe, hoped to foster an appreciation of economics in all students regardless of career interests by bringing recognized leaders to campus. This lecture is free and open to the public. Call 404.364.8868 for more information.
