ATLANTA – Oglethorpe University’s department of theatre and the Scandinavian Festival presents The Stronger by August Strindberg on Saturday, October 13 in Lupton Auditorium at 3:00 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. The same day, Scandinavian Festival Atlanta 2007 will also celebrate the cultures of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden on the Oglethorpe campus from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Don’t miss this rare chance to enjoy an amusing and thoughtful chamber play by the great Swedish dramatist August Strindberg as a part of the all-day Scandinavian Festival. The play is directed by Aaron Bean ’04 with Stephanie Laubscher ’09 and Cathryn McCrimmon ’09. Tickets are free with $5 admission to the Scandinavian Festival. For additional information call 404.504.3409.
The festival will include live entertainment; Viking encampment; delicious Scandinavian food; IKEA Swedish meatball and products; vendors' market; children's activities; raffle; soccer games; first Atlanta appearance of the world's most famous Finn, Santa Claus; and much more. Admission is $5 for adults; 11 and under are free. Call 678.315.4997 or visit www.scandga.org/ScandinavianFestival for more information.
