MLK Holiday Service Project
ATLANTA – Oglethorpe University’s Center for Civic Engagement will sponsor a Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service on Monday, January 21, at the Dunwoody Nature Center (5343 Roberts Dr., Dunwoody 30338) from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Students and young alumni will be removing invasive species on the nature center property. Oglethorpe’s Center for Civic Engagement is an initiative to integrate classroom learning with experiences throughout Atlanta, supporting the community while strengthening the university’s academic offerings. The center works with faculty and students to coordinate service-learning, internships, partnerships with non-profit organizations and meetings with some of the city’s most influential leaders.
