7 Stages Collaboration Brings American Classic to Oglethorpe

ATLANTA – Oglethorpe University’s department of theatre presents a fresh look at a stage classic. Our Town will be performed March 6 through 8 at 8:00 p.m. in the Conant Performing Arts Center.

In this American classic, consummate actor and 7 Stages artistic director Del Hamilton brings wisdom and perspective to the created world of Our Town. The Stage Manager becomes a kind of Prospero figure from Shakespeare’s The Tempest, summoning and then releasing his young charges into the responsibility of their own humanity.

Written by Thornton Wilder and directed by Oglethorpe University’s theatre program director Deborah Merola. Tickets: $7 general admission; $5 for seniors and students. For more information call 404.504.1074.
