Business Leader Visits Oglethorpe
ATLANTA – Oglethorpe University presents financial advisor Michael Szalkowski ’88 in the Mack A. Rikard Lecture Series on Tuesday, March 11, at 4:30 p.m. in the Skylight Gallery of the Oglethorpe University Museum of Art. Szalkowski will present The Changing Face of Investments.
Szalkowski has over 20 years of financial planning experience. He began his career in 1988 at Arthur Andersen in the tax department, where he was instrumental in establishing the firm’s Investment Advisory Practice. In 1996, he left Andersen to join Ernst & Young to run their High Net Worth Practice in the Atlanta office. Since 2000, Szalkowski has run the Schejola Family Office. There he has been involved with over 30 private investments in both equity and real estate. Szalkowski received his Bachelor’s degree in 1988 in Accounting from Oglethorpe.
Oglethorpe’s Mack A. Rikard Lecture Series was established in 1991 to help college students understand current issues in the business world. Rikard, a 1937 graduate of Oglethorpe, hoped to foster an appreciation of economics in all students regardless of career interests by bringing recognized leaders to campus. This lecture is free and open to the public. Call 404.364.8329 for more information.
